A DESIGN FILMS event
presented by AIGA and the Northwest Film Center
Friday, March 11, 7:00pm - 9:00pm
Guild Theater

Admission: $7 for members ($10 for non-members, $5 for students)

Join us for an evening of the best-of-the-best in international film title sequence design as we show “openers” from some of the industry’s most well-known designers. Featuring work by Saul Bass, Maurice Binder, Pablo Ferro, Imaginary Forces, Picture Mill, and many others, from films such as North by Northwest, Psycho, Dr. No, Bullitt, Panic Room, and Dogtown & Z-Boys. These are just a few of the two dozen openers that will be shown from the golden age of title sequence design — the 1960s — to ground-breaking title sequences from the last three years.

Leadership in Paper and the Environment

Leadership in Paper and the Environment is a one-day seminar that explores the dramatic impact of environmental reform on the Paper and Print industry, and offers solutions for those who want to capture the advantages inherent in these changes.

An increasing number of important companies, large and small, are looking for partners in the paper and printing supply chain who understand the environmental issues and have the knowledge and product to help them match their practices to their principles. This seminar will provide a unique range of speakers from environmental activists to Paper Mills and others from the supply chain together with expert discussion on financial returns, the recycled fiber industry and corporate social responsibility. Participants will be given a clear understanding of the key issues, the challenges and the opportunities.
