Recap: Women Lead’s Wholly Mother Series Off to a Great Start

“The days are long, but the years are short.”
– Gretchen Rubin

Thank you to all who helped us kick off the AIGA Women Lead: Wholly Mother event series on Saturday, September 15th! The family-friendly local vendors were helpful and informative, the kids were adorable and creative, and YOU showed up ready to put yourselves out there and connect with one another over a friendly game of Bingo. Aside from Bingo, with prizes provided by each of our vendors, we also offered face painting, henna, an interactive music moment, coloring for the kids, and a delicious spread of brunch snacks.

This event wouldn’t have been possible without the following vendors generously sharing their time, knowledge, and resources:

Artichoke Music
Bethany Physical Therapy, Therapeutic Associates
Lauren Allen Photography
Portland Pediatric and Family Nutrition
Portland Mom’s Blog
Mother & Child Education Center

HT: Loving Tree Henna

Stay tuned for details about our next event in the series! Vent and Vector, taking place at Union/Pine, will provide a safe space to vent frustrations, celebrate wins, and find a peaceful center alongside other creative mamas while putting pen to paper, or mouse to mouse pad. We hope you’ll join us again (or for the first time) as we continue to provide space for this beautiful design community in Portland to grow.
