Recap: December dMob Holiday Edition

Wednesday, December 13th marked the last AIGA Portland dMob of 2017, hosted at dog-friendly pub, Lucky Lab. We gathered to celebrate the holidays, drink beer with our friends, and reflect on this past year. Speaking of which…let’s reflect on what went down at dMob in case you missed it!

We met some cool dogs

We toasted to making it over the winter weekday hump as we took over the outdoor heated patio at Lucky Lab. The evening was filled with positive community vibes, creative fun, and familiar faces—as well as meeting some new ones!

We drew some dogs

For our holiday edition of dMobCollabs we joined up with our friends from local staffing agency, The Creative Party (aka Mathys+Potestio). Together we hosted a DIY drawing station where people drew and created their own custom dog-print notebooks. Shout out to our local sponsor Scout Books for providing arts and crafts supplies for this activity!

We donated to some dogs

We asked attendees to bring items to donate to pets in need. Thank you dMobbers for delivering! We hauled a heavy load of presents over to the Oregon Humane Society.

And you

In the spirit of the holidays, we brought along our own gifts for attendees. We had raffle prizes up for grabs, which included groovy canine art by Matthew Goshman, Upper Metal Class earrings from Project Object, a collector’s edition Legend of Zelda hardback book, and much more. All proceeds from the raffle have been donated to the Oregon Humane Society.

A big thank you to our raffle prize donors:

More details coming soon. *Note: this is a week out from the typical second Wednesday of the month. There will NOT be an event on Valentine’s Day.
