Whether we like it or not, talking and sharing about our work is a critical part of a successful creative career.

But how do we articulate and confidently claim what makes us compelling and worthy of attention? This workshop will help you generate compelling descriptors for your creative work that you can weave into a written bio, artist statement, or when introducing yourself at your next networking event. We’ll walk you through a process of reviewing two creations that you feel reflect your style and approach and help you identify what is uniquely you about them. You’ll get input from fellow workshop attendees to lend new perspectives on what stands out about your work. We’ll wrap with a chance for you to practice sharing your refreshed bio with other creatives in attendance so you get to make new connections as you try out your new talking points.

This workshop is led by Melissa Wong, a NE-based creative coach and facilitator. Melissa helps creatives make sense of their artistic identities and build dynamic careers with power and purpose at Coherence Studio.
