Creating a Sustainable Culture of Inclusion in Your Agency (April 18 Design Week Event)

Demographic shifts are changing the demands of design and product creation every day, and teams that leverage diversity are more creative, more collaborative, and better at solving problems. Led by inclusion experts Randolph Carter and Elizabeth Denevi, this workshop will empower agency leaders, hiring managers, and executive teams to strengthen their organization’s core culture and create a more equitable environment for employees of color and LGBTQ employees, so they can do their best work, thrive, and grow into leadership positions.

The event is hosted by w(HERE), a new collective of designers, illustrators & people in the creative industries who are People of Color (POC) and LGBTQ+. Our goal is to create a movement to showcase and grow the visibility and leadership of POC and LGBTQ creatives in Portland.

You Will:
• Build an understanding of why diversity, equity and inclusion, along with managing bias, are critical to enhance creativity and breakthrough innovations and ultimately to contribute to the success of the design industry and your agency
• Begin to build an understanding of how to create a more equitable environment for employees of color and LGBTQ employees to do their best work, to thrive and to grow into leadership positions.
• Gain access to resources to do this work immediately

Price: The workshop is very affordable (just $125 a person)

Included: Coffee, pastries and a catered lunch by Nicholas

Limited to 40 participants (minimum of 2 from each agency – 1 HR and 1 hiring decision maker ideal), and it’s already filling up
