Lauren Smith Brody: Achieving “Sustainable Success” as a Working Parent
Work & Co hosts Lauren Smith Brody for a talk on how working parents can set themselves up for what she calls “sustainable success.”

About this Event

The first three trimesters (and the fourth—those blurry newborn days) are for your new baby. The Fifth Trimester is when the working parent is born.

Lauren Smith Brody is the founder of The Fifth Trimester movement— covered by The New York Times, the New Yorker, and Forbes —that helps parents and businesses cultivate a family-friendly workplace culture.

Brody, herself a mother of two young sons, comes to Work & Co to share a close-up look at what she’s learned from interviews with 800+ new working moms while writing her book, The Fifth Trimester: The Working Mom’s Guide to Style, Sanity, and Success After Baby.

A publishing leader for 15+ years, most recently Brody served as executive editor of Glamour magazine at Condé Nast, where she produced the Women of the Year awards.

RSVP to join us on January 28th as Brody explores how working parents can set themselves up for what she calls “sustainable success.” She’ll share tips on how to overcome sleep deprivation, establishing equitable caregiver structures at home and embracing the messiness of parenting.
