NW MARINE ART WORKS OPEN STUDIOS

It’s the second annual NW Marine Art Works Open Studios. We are featuring dozens of painters, six ceramic studios, sculptors, glass artists, jewelers, film, animation and a surprising variety of makers. Fifteen new studios have opened this year and our artist population is on the rise. Now 75 studios strong, this longtime WW II industrial complex may be the largest artist studio complex in the Portland. World class cellist, Jerry Bobbe, will bend his bow in the Jason Jones Sculptor Studio off and on throughout the day.

The White Rhino Marimba Band will be in session from 4-6pm near the beer garden, followed by The Arrogant Bastards (acoustic version) Blues band from 6-8pm.

Libations provided by our neighbors at Sasquatch Brewing and Boedecker Wine Cellar. Food carts: Gracie’s Apizza, Taqueria Nueve, and Alotto Gelato.

David Poulshock of Red Door Films will be showing an excerpt from his upcoming documentary on the transformation of NW-Maw from industrial to Art Space.

It’s going to be a good day in Portland. We hope you’ll stop by!
