Join AIGA Portland for a year-end postcard exchange! We’re on a mission to brighten these short, winter days with a little bit of joy via snail mail to/from a fellow creative. Just opt in using this google form* by December 4th, we’ll pair you up by December 6th, then it’s up to you to put your creativity to work in postcard or letter format by December 18th!
Guidelines:
Creativity RULES!
No pressure (perfection is not the goal)
Be courteous and treat others as you want to be treated (if you sign up, PLEASE make it a priority to participate)
Be compassionate and empathetic; treat the recipient as you would a friend
Things to avoid:
Assumptions, accusations, generalizations, hate speech, etc.
Pushing personal beliefs

Not sure where to start? Whether you’re planning to draw with a pencil, push pixels on your monitor, take a photograph or put pen to paper, here are a few ideas to get your creativity flowing:
Subjects: collages, self-portrait, found-object, your pet(s), favorite holiday memories, play Exquisite Corpse (you start, they finish), origami paper & instructions; activities (wordsearch, crossword, etc.)
Questions: What brings you joy? What advice would you give to your younger self? What fascinates you? What’s something you struggle with? What’s something you’ve learned about yourself this year? What would you like to accomplish next year? What’s a project you’d like to work on? Is there something you’d like to learn?
Other: Positive affirmations, a poem, jokes, recipes, a random fact (#todayilearned)
