AIGA Studio Tour: Stumptown Printers

If you want a real designers' paradise, Stumptown Printers is the place to visit! The print shop is a registered workers cooperative, so everyone who makes things here is really part of the whole. Step into the shop and it shows. Buzzing with machinery and the smells of ink and oil, you'll feel like you've walked right into the past as you witness a true craft in practice. The shop specializes in printing unique album covers and other music/media packaging for customers around the world, in addition to creating posters, cards, and custom ephemera. In contrast to the digital pressrooms of today, Stumptown Printers runs traditional offset lithographic equipment, production letterpress machines, and cast type on their Linotype. Come out and discover how Stumptown Printers has stayed relevant as a custom job shop for fifteen years and counting.

The tour is $10.00 for non-AIGA members and $5 for AIGA members. Spots are limited and fill up quickly.

After the tour, don’t forget to stop by dMob for drinks and networking with other Portland creatives.
