For this month’s dMobCollabs we’ve teamed up with Nucleus Portland to bring you dMob: Drink & Draw! They’re hosting us in their beautiful gallery space located in SE Portland on Hawthorne Boulevard. Whether you share the same passion for art and design, visiting the gallery, or checking out your first dMob, you are invited to view the current exhibition, enjoy beer at the bar, and draw. We will have some supplies available during the event, but please feel free to bring along your own!

A group exhibition featuring work from Kozyndan & Nicole Gustafsson, and art (along with other goods) will be available for purchase during this dMob. Check out nucleusportland.com for more information about events like their weekly Drink & Draw!

What is dMob?

dMob is a free social event launched by AIGA Portland in 2003. On the 2nd Wednesday of every other month, it's the place to connect with people driving Portland's energetic design community. With #dMobCollabs, we invite local creatives to help us craft a unique experience and fresh visuals for dMob.

What goes on at dMob?

When you arrive, you’ll get a sticker to wear. Venture forth, find another sticker-wearer and offer them a drink. It’s a great way to break the ice and meet new people.

AIGA Portland wants to encourage discussion, business development, and foster a more dynamic design community in Portland. Here amongst this friendly, laid-back group of design professionals, you’re bound to find inspiration, opportunity, friendship or, at the very least, some really great beer!

Make new creative friends and never forget the dMob mantra: “Can I buy you a drink?”

Where is dMob?

dMob is hosted by a different Portland venue every other month (typically a bar, patio, or restaurant). Locations are selected by rotating between the four city quadrants, making it interesting and easily accessible to anyone.

Nucleus Portland welcomes you to gather in creativity and insight. The gallery is locally run by us, a husband and wife team. They aspire to connect the art community through exhibitions, special events, and libations. Since 2004, their sister location, Gallery Nucleus has exhibited contemporary, illustrated, graphic, commercial, and narrative art. Having exhibited both local and international artists, they offer both originals and prints.
