Happy New Year dMobbers! After a brief holiday hiatus, your favorite AIGA Portland creative social meetup is back and in action! For our first dMob of 2019 we are bringing together our thriving community of designers and musicians—all under one roof for one night only. It is all ages and we encourage anyone to come!
AIGA Portland enlisted the help of Friends of Noise to help curate a soulful ensemble of performers for this dMobCollab. Catch up with old friends over food and local craft brews. Introduce yourself to new faces and enjoy live music and shuffleboard.
Accompany us Wednesday, February 13, from 6:00–9:00pm!
Performers will include:
Wesley Georgiev - Jazz Piano
Harro - Hip Hop / R&B
Daniel Josef - R&B / Soul Piano
White Lotus - R&B Singer /Song Writer
Friends of Noise is a nonprofit that aims to create an all age music and arts venue. Imagine there being a safe space where music lovers of all ages could see a variety of live music. A place where music and arts organizations could provide arts education and the hands on training to run a music venue. Imagine young people having access to a computer/ video lab where they can create content to promote their concerts, design posters and t-shirts and so much more.

Tell me about dMob!
dMob (or Design Mob) is a free gathering presented by AIGA Portland for every friend, fan, and patron of design and the visual arts. You’re a part of Portland’s energetic design community, and this is for you. Since 2003, AIGA Portland orchestrates a friendly, laid-back dMob on the 2nd Wednesday of every other month. Get to know people. Talk shop with cohorts. Offer to buy someone a drink! Inspiration, opportunity, and friendship abound.
What are dMobCollabs?
No two dMobs are the same. For each, we invite local creatives, agencies, and organizations to craft a unique experience and fresh visuals. It’s #dMobCollabs! We also rotate through the four city quadrants, visiting different venues like bars, restaurants, and patios. Changing locations bring dMob closer to everyone, and dMobCollabs animate the party.
