Join AIGA Portland as we venture into Portland’s creative spaces to discover the hidden wonders within the local design community.
In the hyper-competitive world of luxury cars, leading-edge design and technology set Jaguar Land Rover apart. It's a testament to Portland's vibrant design industry that they invest and develop so much here. Now, they invite us in to see how they do it.
From the company:
Jaguar Land Rover is more than a car company — we’re also a tech company. In Portland, we operate the Open Software Technology Center (OSTC), a unique state-of-the-art facility that focuses on In-Vehicle Infotainment. For this Studio Tour, Jaguar Land Rover opens our Workshop at the OSTC.
Technology is a major driver in developing cars and the user experience. The OSTC strengthens Jaguar Land Rover’s technology focus through software development. Staffed by world-class technology innovators, we’re connected and collaborating with the best minds worldwide. We are committed to best-in-class innovation, looking within and outside of our own company to create a better experience for our customers and define the future of in-vehicle infotainment.
Through our Tech Incubator, part of the OSTC, we support the growth of new companies with technologies that have high potential in an automotive environment. We work directly with selected Incubator startups to help make their ideas a reality and adapt their existing technologies to succeed in an automotive environment.
Join us in our Workshop! We're proud to show the ways we are rapidly accelerating the speed and quality of research and development cycles while advancing the entire automotive industry through blue-sky innovation.
